Uploaded revised & reformatted editions of two PDF documents:
- Computer Player Documentation for my ancient Star Chess game
- Tektosyne User’s Guide for my current Tektosyne Library
Why these two? Well, the old Star Chess documentation was still written in LaTeX, so I used it for refining the LaTeX document style that I intend to use in all my PDF publications from now on. I’ve had enough of trying to get decent PDF output from DITA sources.
I’ll elaborate on this subject in the near future, but suffice it to say that LaTeX produces a comparable document layout with less effort, superior micro-typography, greater control of details, and more flexibility thanks to a wealth of optional packages. For reference, here is the previous DITA-OT version of the Tektosyne guide.
One last note on Star Chess: I plan to get into Java programming, and porting this simple game should make for a great training project. That’s going to take a while, though.
