MVZ: Landau Coach

Landau Coach

Landau-type traveling coach by Nicolaus Koller, Vienna (1825). Luxurious coach used by the Bavarian ambassador to the Papal Court, then in 1848 used by Pope Pius IX himself to escape the revolution in Rome. An elaborate suspension system made travel relatively comfortable.
